A beautiful pair of dangling?earrings from the Victorian era (ca1880)! Crafted in 14kt gold, these?petite handmade earrings are highly detailed. Fine engraving covers the surface, and black tracery enamel accents add a delicate leaf and clover design. ?The interlocking links swing from the complimentary surmount at the top, which is attached to a clasped gold wire. When worn, the earrings frame the face nicely, and are lightweight and comfortable. A wonderful pair of everyday earrings, they would be right at home in any Victorian collection!
Measurements:?The earrings hang approximately 1 1/8" long, measure 3/8" at the widest point, and are 1/4" thick.
Condition:?The overall condition of the earrings is excellent.?Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the black tracery enamel accents. The clasped earring wires are secure and in good working condition. There is a natural patina on the surface of the setting, which is a normal characteristic of antique jewelry.
