An incredible gold bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This wide, three-dimensional bangle is made of vivid 15kt yellow gold (indicating English origin) and has a fabulous double buckle design. The elaborate buckle design rests across the front of the piece, with two straps that appear to interlock at the center. Decorating the entire front surface of the buckle is an ornate Etruscan wirework design, complete with delicate gold balls and rows of braided and twisted gold rope.?At the side of the piece is a hinged push clasp, with safety claps at the top and bottom edges for extra security.?This bracelet would rest nicely on a small to average sized wrist. A strong Victorian piece, the bracelet is very fashionable and would look fabulous?worn alone or with other complimentary bangles!
Measurement: The top surface of the bracelet measures 1"?wide. The inside opening (where your wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 1/8" wide and 1 7/8" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to any of the Etruscan details. The push clasp and both safety clasps are snug and secure, and the hinge in good working condition.
